A Mouth for the Speechless (Part 1)

Open your mouth for the speechless, in the cause of all who are appointed to die.”
 - Proverbs 31:8

Picture this: Nazi's, during the height of the Second World War, tossing new born babies into an incinerator. Not only did this help control the Jews, but it also helped Hitler save fuel. Just imagine the horrible screams of the infants as they are burned alive. Anyone should be completely appalled by this vulgar act - and rightly so, everyone who hears this today is. However, what makes this any different than abortion? The fact that we hear ones baby's cries of protest, while we never get to hear the other's? One third of my generation is gone, and they never had a say in it.

I was inspired to write this blog after reading a recent post by Bound4LIFE, called "But They Don't Burn Babies Alive Now." In this article they talk about the Nazi's brutal murder of babies saying, "The only thing that has changed is that we kill them before they can cry so we don’t see the truth. The truth is that this is exactly how we dispose of aborted babies today. We burn them." They go on to say,  "Since it’s happening and legal many think their responsibility ends at their own life. As long as they don’t choose abortion, then they are honoring God. While it does honor God to not choose abortion, it is dishonoring when we don’t stand for those who can’t."

Some argue against comparing abortion to the holocaust, because abortion clinics are trying to "improve the world" - while Hitler was an evil and warped individual. But Hitler also thought he was improving the world by killing Jews. He thought he was right! But killing an innocent human is NEVER right! We may argue that if it is legal, than we have a right to it. But as G. K. Chesterton wisely put it, "To have a right to do a thing is not at all the same as to be right in doing it."

We are in our own holocaust right now, and it is time for us to take a stand against it. It is time for us to be "mouth(s) for the speechless."

I've been reading about the history of abortion, and I was surprised at what I found.
